Bellibolt is the newest Frog Pokémon in the Scarlet and Violet, is also known as the “EleFrog ” Pokemon, and is revealed to be a part of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Pokedex, available in the Paldea Region to get. Bellibolt is a Pokemon partner of Iono, the gym leader, and will be a part of the main team of Supercharged Streamer as Gym Leader. The first of its kind, the EleFrog species will be of the electric type with never seen before ability Electromorphosis. On October 12, 2022, Bellibolt was initially hinted at through Iono’s Livestream, where her fans were supposed to guess her new partner Pokémon and on October 14, 2022, on her second live stream in a special featurette, Bellibolt was introduced. What is Bellibolt Pokemon?
Bellibolt is an EleFrog Pokemon of the Electric type introduced in Generation IX. Its name may be a combination of the words belly and bolt and in Japanese, Bellibolt is popularly known as Harabari and the looks of it is based on a frog, more specifically on the Cuyaba dwarf frog, which on its rear has large “false eyes” and emits poisonous secretion when threatened and it also resembles the plush toy or a Japanese generic mascot.
Bellibolt appearance
Bellibolt actually looks small with a height of 1.2 m but weighs around 113 Kg. Bellibolt, a large, rotund, amphibian Pokémon has an elastic, squishy body that is primarily in green colour, with patterns of orange on its back, head, and lower body and the pattern on the head is like a rounded cross, Chevron-shaped on the lower body, and on the back two, it is of the shape of two orange colored Chevron’s and a lightning bolt shape with a yellow dot in the centre and the orange circle surrounding it.
Bellibolts feet are orange colour, and on each side of its head has two white bumps containing black dots with yellow borders and these resemble eyeballs but they do not function as them. Bellibolts actual eyes in yellow colour are on the centre of its face, which resembles nostrils, and has orange lips with small yellow cheek patches and its grey stomach has a semi-transparent membrane consisting of a yellow organ resembling a belly button and at night, its stomach emits a strange noise, signalling it is hungry. As its face is really small, it uses its eyes for intimidation.
How is Bellibolts nature
Bellibolt though capable of moving very quickly, chooses to act sluggishly, and owing to its easygoing temperament, it is difficult to train Bellibolt to initiate a fight, do not notice the opponent until it is attached first and becomes charged when attacked first boosting power of the next electric type move it prefers to use.
Bellibolt Ability/Superpower
Bellibolt the EleFrog has mainly two special powers Electromorphosis and Static. Electromorphosis which is a new ability in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Bellibolt possesses this and when hit by an opponent, charges up the user’s next Electric-type attack, boosting its power.
Another of Bellibolt’s abilities is Static, which is a relatively uncommon ability that causes paralysis on any Pokemon that comes into contact with the wielder.
How does Bellibolt energy generate?
When Bellibolt expands and contracts its elastic body, expands and contracts, the organ that looks like a belly button generates electricity, which Bellibolt discharges through the bumps (that appear like eyes) on its head which glow when discharging electricity making it appear intimidating.
Will there be Bellibolt Evolution?
At present, it is not known whether Bellibolt in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will have evolution or not.
