The trailer of the new digital series Masoom was revealed today on social media by Disney plus Hotstar. Bollywood actor Boman Irani is set to make his OTT debut through the Disney+Hotstar new psychological thriller series Masoom which seems to be another nail-biting series by the platform. This six-episode series will be released on the 17th of June it is a roller coaster ride of emotions showing a complex father-daughter relationship and Boman Irani and Samara Tijori play the role of father-daughter. In the daughter’s quest to find out the truth, she finds it difficult to trust anyone, even her own family, who wants to hide the truth under the wraps of protection and love.
Directed by Mihir Desai, Masoom is set in a village of Punjab, Falauli, and will unfold the mystery and the unspoken truths of the Kapoor family, where with time and ambition the dynamics of complex relationships change. An Indian adaptation of the award-winning series ‘Blood’ of the Irish language which shows the exploration of family ties and deception after losing a loved one. The daughter, Sana who drives down to her hometown after the death of her mother begins to hunt for the truth when her whole family tries to conceal it and becomes the catalyst to unravel the secret of the family. The once loving father-daughter duo now turns to have a bitter relationship as he doesn’t want her to dig into the family secrets. Will Sana be able to unravel the mystery of her mother’s death is the main plotline of the series. The series will have 6 episodes and will start streaming on 17th June on Disney+Hotstar.
Masoom has Manjari Fadnis, Veer Rajwant Singh, Sukhpal Singh, Upasana Singh, Manurishi Chaddha, Sarika Singh, Nikhil Nair, Akashdeep Arora, Jobanpreet Singh, and Manu Rishi Chadha in the supporting roles while Gurmeet Singh serves as the showrunner for the series and is produced under the Production Company, Dreamers & Doers Co, a content studio of Reliance Entertainment.
