Paramount Animation is to make the anime film adaptation of the American fantasy novel, The Tiger’s Apprentice by author Laurence Yep. The plot is based on the essence of the ancient Chinese mythology in modern life in San Francisco and follows the life of the boy Tom who becomes the magical apprentice of the tiger Mr. Hu , along with other mythological misfits, has to protect the ancient phoenix from Vatten and the Clan of Nine who have evil intentions. This enchanting story that explores kindness, loyalty, duty, and bravery is animated by the studio with the animation given by Mikros Image Europe, directed by debutant Carlos Baena with the script given by Magee and Harry Cripps. The movie is set to release on December 20, 2023.
