This does not imply that the movie is not good in fact it is one of the best historical dramas but due to the poor promotion and word of mouth and also other movies released-Vikram and Major which are performing well in the theatres, Samrat Prithviraj is not having a much-expected audience. Despite this, people are going to theatres to watch the movie with their family and friends, and it is getting good reviews from the ones who watched it. The fans are watching the movie as the movie has good action, VFX scenes, and Samrat Prithviraj movie tells the heroic story of a brave legendary emperor Prithviraj who fought against the Muslim invader, Mohammad Ghori who wanted to loot and invade India and we will get to watch the action, bravery, patriotism and the movie critics gave mixed reviews along with the audience who were also not impressed with the movie plot and screenplay and is not a successful project to the makers due to its average collection on Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3, and saw a slight increase in the collection in the weekend but that was not sufficient and the collection on the weekdays was comparatively less on Day 4, Day 5, Day 6. Many shows were canceled due to no audience and in South India, the movie stopped performing.
Samrat Prithviraj first six days of collections are not very impressive. From the first day itself the collection was not as expected and on Day 1 at the box office, the movie has collected Rs. 10.7 crores, 12.5 crores on Day 2, 16 crores on Day 3, and turned to single-digit figures from the 4th day onwards.
On the 4th day, the movie made 5 crores, Rs. 4.25 crores on Day 5, Rs. 3.5-4 crores on Day 6 and today on Day 7 may collect around Rs.3 crores and is on the verge of completing one week with a total collection of 60 crores to date which is very less for a 300 crore budget movie. Released on more than 4500+ screens worldwide, and got decreased eventually due to the average response due to which the movie may not reach the budget and may find it difficult to reach the 100 crore club.
