The release date of cA was announced. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the release date of the new season of The Last Kingdom. Based on the novel The Saxon series written by Bernard Cornwell The Last Kingdom is a British Historical Drama. Produced under the production company is Carnival Film and Television by Chrissy Skinns and is developed by Stephen Butchard. It was firstly co-produced by a British broadcaster BBC and Netflix but later on from the third season, the entire series production has been handled by Netflix entirely.

The series consists of four seasons. The fourth season aired back in 2020. Since then, the fans have been waiting for the new installment of the series. And now, finally, the wait is over. The new fifth season will premiere on 9th March 2022 at USA-PST – 12:00 am/India – 1:30 pm IST on Netflix. This new season consists of 10 episodes in total. Netflix has confirmed that this season will be the final installment of the series. The series consists of 36 episodes excluding the fifth one. The first season was first released on 10th October 2015.
The series is about  The Great Heathen Army which wants to redefine the relationship between Vikings and Anglo Saxons upon its arrival. It largely focuses on the resistance of the kingdom of Wessex to the ongoing Viking invasion of Southern England. The series covers about 40-45 years by the end of season 4. In the first season, it tells the story of the years 866-878, and it continues in the same pattern in the next seasons. The series stars Alexander Dreymon, Emily Cox, Millie Brady, Eliza Butterworth, Timothy Innes, David Dawson to name a few. It has an IMDb 8.5 out of 10 ratings.
